A Comfortable Method To Treat Periodontal Disease
Using Perio Protect, Dr. Cleland will prescribe a series of flexible trays and medication that are custom fit for your teeth and gums. The Perio Protect trays are worn at home. The trays deliver medication which kills the bacteria that causes the disease. It's a quick, comfortable and easy process.
A Special Periodontal Cleaning.
A special periodontal cleaning called scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) may be recommended. In this procedure, tartar, plaque, and toxins are removed from above and below the gum line (scaling) and rough spots on root surfaces are made smooth (planing). Medications, mouth rinses and electric tooth brushes may be recommended.
